Did you know that PACC can trace its roots back to the Silver Moon roller skating rink that opened on May 5, 1950 just west of the iconic White Rock pier?
Senior men curlers, known as the Senators, were the backbone of the Silver Moon curling club. When that rink closed in 1961, they were at the forefront of planning the new Peace Arch curling rink in 1966.
In February 1968 the Peace Arch Curling rink opened in Centennial Park after two years of planning, fundraising, and construction.
The International Tankard is a bonspiel that celebrates the hard work and dedication of volunteers at curling clubs in BC Region 11 and northwestern United States.
PACC hosted this prestigious event
in March 1980.
In 2006, the board of directors undertook the daunting task of rebuilding our aging curling facility. After five years of dedicated effort the new Centre for Active Living, housing the curling rink, was opened in 2011.
Peace Arch Curling Club is proud to have been the home of champions over the decades. From the Tony Folk rink in 1961 to Sarah Loken of the Grandy rink in 2023.
