PACC is offering two clinics to get your season started right. Our coaches will help you achieve your goals and have fun too!
Curling is a team sport and by improving your communication and teamwork you will improve your game. These clinics are designed for both beginners and intermediate curlers.
Clean shoes! Our ice technicians spend many hours making perfectly clean ice, so we don't want you going out on the ice in the same shoes you arrived in. Therefore, you will need to bring some clean, rubber-soled shoes (running shoes or tennis shoes are ideal) and we will provide clean grippers to put over them to curl on the ice.
Layer up! When the trainers are demonstrating the curling skills and instructing you on what to do, you may find you get a little cold. Then, when you start curling, you may find yourself getting too warm. Wear a light jacket or fleece that you can take on and off as you need to along with a long-sleeved shirt and a light sweater or sweatshirt.
Wear loose pants! You need to be able to stretch easily, so sweatpants are ideal. Jeans are usually too restrictive.
Bring gloves! Your hands may get cold, so a light pair of gloves or mitts is recommended.
That's all! The great thing about curling is that you do not need any special equipment to get started. The Club will lend you a broom and slider during your learn-to-curl sessions.
